Amidst the ongoing electoral battle in India, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him as a “liar” and accusing him of historical ignorance. Baghel’s remarks came in response to Modi’s criticism of the Congress party on the issue of wealth redistribution.
Baghel vehemently defended the legacy of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, stating that she had donated all her property to the government in 1970, including the historic Anand Bhavan. He accused Modi of spreading false information and failing to deliver on his promises in the past ten years.
“Modi has done nothing but spread slogans. He has no achievements to boast about, so he resorts to criticizing the Congress,” Baghel said during a conversation with media representatives.
The political battle in Chhattisgarh is particularly intense in Rajnandgaon, where Baghel, known affectionately as “Kaka,” is representing the Congress party. Other constituencies in the state that are witnessing elections include Mahasamund, Kanker, and Dantewada.
Despite the scorching temperatures, Baghel expressed optimism about voter turnout, citing long queues at polling booths. He urged citizens to exercise their franchise and safeguard the Constitution and democracy.
“Everyone must come out and vote. Your vote is a powerful tool to protect our rights and preserve our nation,” Baghel implored.
As the electoral race intensifies, all eyes are on the outcome in Chhattisgarh and the impact it will have on the larger political landscape in India.
