Get ready to indulge, Baileys lovers! The iconic Irish cream liqueur has unveiled its latest creation: Baileys Chocolate. This new blend combines the familiar smooth taste of Baileys with a rich, decadent chocolate flavor, creating a luxurious treat that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Charlotte Gibbon, Director of Gins, Pimms, Baileys and Non-alc at Diageo GB, shared her excitement for the launch: “This might just be our sweetest launch yet. We’re so excited to bring UK fans another unmissable Baileys treat, Baileys Chocolate. The perfect adult treat to relax with as cosy season approaches, and consumers are looking for something sweet to brighten up the darker days. I’ll be having mine over ice.”
I personally had to try it out. I chilled the bottle before opening it and savored a small amount poured over ice. As a devoted Baileys fan, I knew I was going to love this, and it was absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect festive drink, ideal for a post-dinner indulgence. The thick, luxurious texture even made it double as a dessert for me. While I enjoyed it straight up on ice, it’s incredibly versatile – you can easily incorporate it into cocktails or drizzle it over your favorite desserts.
Baileys Chocolate launched in supermarkets on September 17th, making its debut at Tesco and rolling out to other major supermarkets throughout October. It retails for £16.50 per bottle, a price that I believe is well worth it for the luxurious treat it offers.
To elevate your Baileys Chocolate experience, try this delicious cocktail recipe:
Baileys Chocolate Mocha Martini
* 50ml Baileys Chocolate
* 20ml Smirnoff Vodka
* 30ml Coffee
* 10ml Simple Syrup
* 10g Cocoa Powder
* Chocolate Shavings, Espresso Beans, and Cocoa Powder for Garnish
Combine all ingredients (except garnishes) in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a coupe or martini glass. For the perfect finishing touch, garnish with three espresso beans, a dusting of cocoa powder, and chocolate shavings.
If you’re curious about trying other Irish cream options, I previously compared Baileys to eight supermarket own-brands and five flavored Irish creams, often released closer to Christmas. You can find those reviews to discover if those alternatives can compete with the nation’s favorite.
