Balenciaga and Vogue have announced a limited-edition capsule collection, available starting June 21st at the Balenciaga flagship on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, and online at balenciaga.com. This 10-piece collaboration, ranging from $100 to $1,285, celebrates the iconic Place Vendôme, the location of Vogue World 2024: Paris, which marks the first time the event will be held in the renowned square. This partnership is a dream come true for both teams, according to fashion market and collaborations director Willow Lindley.
The collection features Balenciaga’s signature unisex T-shirts, both oversized and fitted, as well as hoodies in pull-over and zip-up styles. All pieces are adorned with the Vogue and Balenciaga logos on the front and a postcard illustration of Place Vendôme on the back. A cap and a to-go coffee cup, in black and white respectively, complete the collection.
The collection’s palette is comprised of neutrals with a splash of red, reflecting both the Balenciaga house codes and the French national colors. Both the ready-to-wear and accessories are pre-washed to achieve a vintage patina, nodding to the theme of Vogue World, which celebrates the history and craftsmanship of French fashion. This limited-edition collaboration offers a unique opportunity to own a piece of fashion history.
