Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, in collaboration with Sukhothai Airport, has stepped up to assist communities affected by the recent flooding in Sukhothai Province. Led by Mr. Nijjapat Piyapant, Vice President – Airport, the company’s Blue Volunteers team has been diligently distributing over 1,200 relief packages to residents in need.
These packages contain essential items like adult diapers for bedridden patients, providing crucial support to those struggling with the aftermath of the floods. The relief efforts specifically targeted the sub-districts of Khlong Krachong, Yan Yao, and Tha Thong in Sawankhalok District, areas severely impacted by the rising waters. Many riverside homes have sustained significant damage.
Beyond immediate relief, Bangkok Airways and Sukhothai Airport are committed to long-term support for the affected communities. This includes the development of assistance programs designed to aid in rebuilding and recovery efforts. The company plans to partner with local organizations to ensure ongoing aid and implement initiatives focused on flood prevention and resilience building. These initiatives reflect the company’s dedication to not only offering temporary relief but also contributing to the long-term well-being and recovery of the flood-stricken areas.
