Barron Trump, Youngest Son of Former President, Joins Florida Delegation for Republican Convention

Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, is set to make his political debut as a Florida delegate to the Republican National Convention, scheduled to take place in Milwaukee this summer. The 18-year-old, who recently graduated from high school, will join three of his siblings – Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump – as part of the state’s 41 at-large delegates, according to Florida GOP chair Evan Power. “We are fortunate to have a great group of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family working together as part of the Florida delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention,” Power said in a statement. Barron’s selection as a delegate adds to the growing presence of the Trump family in the convention, with former fianceé Kimberly Guilfoyle and Tiffany’s husband Michael Boulos also serving as delegates. Notably, Trump’s oldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, has not been involved in politics since her father lost his 2020 White House re-election bid. Unlike his politically active siblings, Barron has maintained a private life, staying away from the public eye. However, his father’s legal troubles have reportedly not affected his mother’s protective stance towards him. Barron, born in 2006, was Donald Trump’s fifth child and Melania’s first. The couple reportedly learned about their first pregnancy six months after their wedding. In a previous interview, Melania revealed her husband’s initial surprise at the news. “He came home [one day last August], and I told him he’d be a daddy. And his reaction was … at first he needed to take it in. It was a real surprise. And then he was very happy,” she said. Donald Trump added, “I expected we were going to have children, so I wasn’t totally surprised. But I was surprised by the speed of it. It happened very quickly.”
