The inquiry committee, established by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), has commenced its investigation into the Ram Navami clash that occurred between Dalit student groups and security personnel. Students presented their perspectives to the committee on April 23, and additional statements were gathered from other individuals related to the incident. The university administration is conducting a thorough investigation and will take appropriate disciplinary action against any violators based on established regulations.
In the meantime, medical examinations conducted by doctors from the district hospital and university health center have confirmed the good physical condition of the students who participated in the hunger strike. However, the health of one student, Akhilesh Kumar, deteriorated in the evening, leading to his fainting. He was promptly taken to Lok Bandhu Hospital for further treatment.
The protesting students allege that the area manager of the security agency has falsely implicated four students and 25 unidentified individuals in a case, and they demand the immediate withdrawal of these charges. They have also called for the removal of the proctor, security officer, supervisor, and security personnel.
The university administration is committed to conducting a comprehensive investigation into the clash and ensuring that all parties involved are held accountable for their actions. The necessary disciplinary measures will be taken in accordance with established regulations upon the completion of the investigation.
