The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted no significant change in weather on Monday, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected to remain around 38°C and 23°C, respectively.
On Sunday, Bengaluru witnessed its second-highest temperature in history, with the mercury reaching 38.5 degrees Celsius. This marks the highest temperature recorded in the city since April 2016, when temperatures soared to 39.2 degrees Celsius.
The city’s temperature on Sunday was a staggering 4.4 degrees Celsius above normal. According to IMD’s Sunday weather forecast, the city is unlikely to experience any respite from the heat, with maximum temperatures forecast to hover around 38 degrees Celsius.
The ongoing heatwave has left Bengaluru residents sweltering and desperate for relief. The city, known for its pleasant weather, is now facing extreme temperatures that are taking a toll on its citizens.
