Bengaluru Businesses Offer Perks to Boost Voter Turnout for Upcoming Elections
In a bid to increase voter turnout for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, numerous businesses and organizations in Bengaluru are rolling out various incentives to encourage citizens to cast their ballots.
These incentives include enticing discounts on dining, complimentary refreshments, and free transportation to polling stations. Eateries under the Bruhat Bangalore Hotels Association are actively participating in this initiative, offering discounts at popular establishments like Kamat Hosaruchi and Iyengar’s Oven Fresh. Cafe Udupi Ruchi is enticing voters with complimentary mocktails, while Hotel Nisarga Grand is offering free dosa, ladoo, and juice to those who have voted.
To further sweeten the deal, Mr. Philly’s burger joint will provide a generous 30% discount to the first 100 customers who present their inked finger on election day. Wonderla Holidays and Deck of Brews are also extending discounts on tickets and complimentary beer, respectively, to patrons who have exercised their voting rights.
In an effort to make voting even more convenient, BluSmart, a mobility aggregation service provider, is offering discounted rides within a 30-kilometer radius of polling stations in Bengaluru and the Delhi NCR region. Additionally, Air India Express is providing a significant 19% discount on flights for first-time voters between the ages of 18 and 22.
Through these creative incentives, businesses in Bengaluru aim to engage urban voters and encourage them to actively participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing the importance of exercising their democratic rights.
