Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) in Bengaluru has taken a significant step towards wildlife conservation and eco-tourism by launching an exciting new Leopard safari. The safari, spanning 20 hectares of deciduous forest, offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
The park has meticulously designed the safari area, prioritizing the safety of both leopards and visitors. Enhanced security features include a railway barricade, a 4.5-meter-high chain-link fence, and 1.5-meter metal sheets angled at 30 degrees, all adhering to central zoo authority guidelines. This dedicated area currently houses eight leopards, providing an unforgettable encounter with these majestic creatures.
Beyond the thrilling safari experience, BBP is actively promoting afforestation through a discounted sapling initiative. This initiative aims to encourage public participation in environmental conservation and enhance understanding of biodiversity, forest importance, and ecological stability.
