Best Western Hotels & Resorts has earned a prestigious double recognition in Germany’s hospitality sector. The hotel group, managing approximately 200 properties across the country, has been crowned the leading employer in the Hotel category by the “Germany’s Most Coveted Employers 2024” study. Conducted by the F.A.Z. Institute in collaboration with the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research and ServiceValue, the study highlights Best Western’s strong standing as a desirable workplace.
Further solidifying its commitment to employee development, Best Western Hotels & Resorts has also received the “Training Champions 2024” title. This separate study, focused on excellence in hospitality industry training, recognizes the company’s dedication to nurturing and upskilling its workforce.
Both the “Germany’s Most Coveted Employers 2024” and “Training Champions 2024” studies relied on a comprehensive research methodology. This included extensive web monitoring, social listening analysis, and a detailed online survey. The initial stage involved scanning millions of public German-language online sources, including news websites and social media platforms, from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2024. The analysis delved into six key areas: employer performance, management performance, economic performance, product and service quality, family-friendliness, and sustainability.
Subsequently, the gathered data was meticulously analyzed using artificial intelligence to assess the sentiment surrounding each company. The analysis categorized mentions as positive, negative, or neutral. Concurrently, the F.A.Z. Institute and IMWF conducted in-depth surveys to evaluate aspects like job security, working conditions, salary structures, training opportunities, family-friendliness, and employee benefits.
The Training Champions study specifically assessed the company’s performance in areas such as qualifications, further training programs, success rates of trainees, employee retention rates, and compensation structures. Companies were then scored based on these factors, with the top performer setting the industry benchmark with a perfect score of 100 points.
