Bhambri and Olivetti Advance to US Open Men’s Doubles Third Round

India’s Yuki Bhambri and his French partner Albano Olivetti have made it to the third round of the US Open men’s doubles competition. The duo secured a hard-fought victory against the 15th-seeded American-Dutch pair of Austin Krajicek and Jean-Julien Roger. The match was a close contest, with the scoreline reflecting the intensity of the battle: 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.

However, another Indian player, N Sriram Balaji, and his Argentine partner Guido Andreozzi, were eliminated from the tournament in the second round. They faced a tough challenge against the New Zealand-British pairing of Michael Venus and Neal Skupski. Balaji and Andreozzi fought valiantly but ultimately lost 6-7 (4), 4-6.

The second round match saw only one break of serve in the second set. Venus and Skupski managed to convert one of their seven break point opportunities while Balaji and Andreozzi couldn’t capitalize on their single chance for a service break. This setback ends their US Open journey, while Bhambri and Olivetti move on to face their next challenge in the third round.
