Biden Campaign Blasts Trump’s ‘Project 2025’ as ‘Dictatorship Blueprint’ Amid Calls for President to Step Down

President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are mounting a full-scale attack on former President Donald Trump, linking him to the Heritage Foundation’s ‘Project 2025,’ a blueprint for a future Republican administration to overhaul the executive branch. This move comes as Biden faces increasing pressure from within his own party to step aside from the 2024 presidential race.

The Biden campaign accuses Trump of being the driving force behind ‘Project 2025,’ despite his public disavowal of the initiative. Biden campaign spokeswoman Sarafina Chitika claims that the project is a dangerous roadmap for a Trump presidency, aiming to restrict abortion rights, cut Social Security and Medicare, and establish a dictatorial regime.

‘Donald Trump’s Project 2025 team is stacked with the same extremists who helped him rip away women’s freedoms, round up and deport Latinos, and undermine our democracy in his first term,’ Chitika stated. ‘If Trump wins this election, his Project 2025 allies will work around the clock to make sure he can go even further to ban abortion nationwide, gut Social Security and Medicare, and rule as a ‘dictator on day one.’ Donald Trump and Project 2025 are one and the same — and voters are going to make sure they both lose this November.’

While ‘Project 2025’ is not formally linked to Trump’s campaign, many individuals who spearheaded the initiative previously served in his administration, including Paul Dans, who directed the project and acted as Trump’s White House Liaison to the Office of Personnel Management.

The Biden campaign sees ‘Project 2025’ as a powerful tool to influence moderate voters in swing states, portraying it as a stark contrast to their own vision for the country. Vice President Harris has repeatedly brought up the project on the campaign trail, highlighting its controversial proposals, including cuts to Social Security, the repeal of the $35 cap on insulin, and the elimination of the Department of Education.

‘Trump’s advisers have created a 900-page blueprint — called ‘Project 2025’ — detailing everything else they plan to do in a second term, including a plan to cut Social Security, repeal our $35 cap on insulin, eliminate the Department of Education and end programs like Head Start,’ Harris said at a campaign stop in Nevada.

Trump has dismissed ‘Project 2025,’ claiming he knows nothing about it and disagrees with many of its proposals. He even went so far as to call some of the recommendations ‘ridiculous’ and ‘abysmal.’ However, his campaign has refuted the Biden campaign’s assertions, stating that the only policies endorsed by Trump are those outlined in his Republican National Committee platform.

This latest political battle underscores the high stakes of the 2024 election, as both candidates seek to win over voters with contrasting visions for the future of the country. The focus on ‘Project 2025’ adds another layer of complexity to the race, prompting intense scrutiny of the initiative’s potential impact on American society.
