While incumbents with over 50% approval ratings typically win re-election, Biden may face an uphill battle in 2024. In fact, no first-term president has managed to return to power with an approval rating as low as Biden’s, according to the New York Post.
Biden’s presidency has been marked by significant challenges, including soaring inflation, a worsening border crisis, and the aftermath of the tumultuous Afghanistan withdrawal. Additionally, his advanced age has raised questions about his effectiveness as president.
The Gallup poll surveyed 1,001 Americans between April 1 and April 22, providing a comprehensive assessment of Biden’s approval ratings. The poll’s findings underscore the widespread dissatisfaction with Biden’s performance as president and cast doubt on his ability to secure a second term.
