The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the application deadline for intermediate admissions until May 31, providing eligible students with more time to apply. Initially, the submission of applications was scheduled to close on May 25, 2024. Online applications are currently open for admissions to over 263 schools in Bhojpur district, with enrollment for the 2024-26 session. Candidates who have successfully passed their 10th-grade exams are required to apply online through the Online Facilitation System for Students ( OFSS ) portal. In the previous session, students had the choice to apply to colleges or Plus Two schools for Intermediate. However, despite this flexibility, many students faced challenges securing intermediate admission. While the exact number of students that were unable to secure intermediate admission this year remains uncertain, the District Education Officer noted that thousands of candidates missed the initial application deadline due to various reasons. Consequently, the Education Department extended the online application deadline until May 31 to accommodate these students.
Notably, this year, students will not have the option to apply for intermediate admission to degree colleges. The Bihar School Examination Board has excluded degree colleges from the admission process, meaning that the list of colleges under Veer Kunwar Singh University will no longer be available on the OFSS portal . Instead, candidates can only apply for admission to schools.
