Biker Attacks Family in Car, Injures 7-Month-Old Child in Bengaluru Road Rage Incident

A horrifying incident of road rage unfolded in Bengaluru on Monday night, leaving a seven-month-old child injured. The incident, captured on video and shared widely on social media, took place near Doddakannalli on Sarjapur Road around 10:30 pm.

According to eyewitnesses and social media posts from the Citizens Movement-East Bengaluru, a family traveling in a car was attacked by a biker. The confrontation reportedly began when the car driver applied the brakes without signaling, causing the biker to become enraged. The biker, who was allegedly intoxicated, then began shouting at the couple in the car.

The couple, who had their infant child with them, pleaded with the biker, stating “Bachcha Hai Andar” (there’s a baby with us inside). However, the biker’s aggression escalated, and he smashed the car’s windshield, causing injuries to the seven-month-old child.

The biker, who has been identified as a bouncer at a Koramangala pub, attempted to open the driver’s door but failed. He then threw himself onto the car’s bonnet and broke a windshield wiper. Using the broken wiper, he further attacked the windshield, shattering the glass.

Following the incident, the couple immediately filed a complaint with the Bengaluru City Police. The police swiftly responded, apprehending the biker and taking him into custody. He is now facing charges of attempted murder.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage and concern. The incident highlights the dangers of road rage and the importance of responsible behavior while driving.
