Epic Games has put years of speculation to rest by announcing that Billie Eilish will headline the main stage for Season 3 of Fortnite. The popular pop singer will join the ranks of The Weeknd and Lady Gaga as featured artists in the rhythm game developed by Harmonix.
The devs have yet to reveal any additional information about the upcoming event, but players can anticipate content similar to that of previous updates. During Season 2, Epic presented a free or premium reward track that contained cosmetic items and songs for Lady Gaga and other artists.
Fortnite is currently hosting a variety of other crossovers. The most recent update incorporated mythic bending abilities from Avatar: The Last Airbender along with skins for Aang, Katara, Toph, and Zuko. Notably absent from the event was Sokka, who, despite being one of the show’s central characters, did not receive a skin.
Furthermore, Fortnite has recently introduced in-game concerts, exclusive items, and new skins in honor of the Fortnite Festival. The Cosma and Horizon astronaut skins were among those included, with limited-time availability in the store.
Epic Games has kept the rest of their plans for Season 3 of the Fortnite Festival under wraps, but players can anticipate a wealth of content centered around Eilish and her impressive musical catalog.
