Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of having no moral right to seek votes from the people. He pointed out that the Congress had failed to implement the promises it made during the November 2023 assembly polls.
While interacting with people during his campaign in the Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency, from where he is seeking re-election, Kishan Reddy alleged that both the BRS and the Congress were trying to mislead the people to garner votes. He claimed that the Congress would disappear from many states after the Lok Sabha polls.
Reddy expressed confidence that the BJP would win double-digit seats in Telangana. He alleged that the BRS government had suppressed people’s voices and did not even allow protests at the designated dharna chowk.
Reddy’s remarks come amid a heated election campaign in Telangana, where the BJP is trying to make inroads and challenge the dominance of the BRS, led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in two phases in Telangana on April 11 and 23.
