Blackbaud Ranks Fourth on America’s Climate Leaders 2024, Recognizing Significant Emissions Reduction

Blackbaud Earns Recognition as a Climate Leader

Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), a leading provider of software for social impact, has earned a spot on America’s Climate Leaders 2024. The company ranked fourth out of 450 companies based on its significant emissions reduction efforts.

Mike Gianoni, President, CEO, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Blackbaud, highlighted the company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability. Blackbaud supports its customers in their sustainability journeys and continuously works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within its own operations. The company’s remote-first workforce approach has played a vital role in minimizing its environmental impact.

America’s Climate Leaders 2024 is a joint initiative between Statista Inc., a leading statistics portal, and Newsweek. The ranking identifies U.S. companies that have made substantial progress in reducing emissions.

To be eligible, companies needed to have at least $1 billion in revenue in 2022 and demonstrate a significant reduction in their emissions intensity between 2020 and 2022. Blackbaud’s 70.30% core emissions reduction year-over-year and 89.80% core GHG reduction earned them a top spot on the list.

Blackbaud’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond emissions reduction. The company participates in CDP’s public disclosure and aligns its reporting with TCFD recommendations. In 2023, Blackbaud achieved 100% carbon neutrality and has reduced its global GHG emissions by 92% since 2019.
