“Bluey” Special Episode Breaks Viewing Records on Disney+

The special episode of “Bluey” has become the most-watched episode of the show on Disney+, amassing 10.4 million views worldwide in the week following its release. The April 14 installment, titled “The Sign,” racked up an impressive 291.2 million minutes of viewing globally. This surpasses the viewership of any other episode of “Bluey” or any other Disney Junior show on the streaming platform.

The 28-minute special drew praise for its captivating storyline, which explored the possibility of the Heeler family selling their home and moving to a new city due to Bandit’s job offer. Additionally, the episode featured the wedding of Uncle Rad and Frisky.

Coupled with the preceding episode, “Ghostbasket,” the special sparked speculation that “Bluey” might be coming to an end. However, the show released a new episode on April 21st, indicating that its future is still uncertain.

The long-term fate of “Bluey” remains in limbo, as the show’s creator, Joe Brumm, has stated that he is not permitted to discuss the future of the show or its voice cast. The show was originally commissioned by Australia’s ABC and the BBC in the U.K.
