BMW Hit-and-Run: Accused Mihir Shah Confesses to Driving, Arrested

Mihir Shah, the primary suspect in the tragic BMW hit-and-run case in Mumbai, has admitted to being behind the wheel at the time of the accident on July 7th. The incident resulted in severe injuries to motorcyclist Pradeep Nakhwa and the untimely death of his wife, Kaveri Nakhwa. According to the police, Kaveri Nakhwa was riding pillion on the motorcycle and was tragically killed when the BMW hit them. The driver of the BMW continued on without stopping, even though Kaveri Nakhwa was trapped between the car’s wheel and the ground.

Two days after the incident, Mihir Shah was apprehended in Thane district. The Mumbai Police presented him before the metropolitan magistrate court in Virar. The court issued a police custody order for the 24-year-old accused until July 16th, as reported by the Hindustan Times.

Mihir Shah’s father, Rajeev Shah, is a Shiv Sena politician from the neighboring district of Palagarh and is currently out on bail. The investigation into this fatal accident is ongoing.
