Bo Nix: Could the Oregon Quarterback Be Headed to Los Angeles?

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix could potentially end up in Los Angeles, as suggested by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Rams are reportedly interested in drafting a potential successor for 36-year-old quarterback Matthew Stafford, and Nix has a connection to Rams general manager Les Snead, who was an assistant coach at Auburn when Nix’s father, Patrick, was the quarterback.

However, the Rams’ priority remains strengthening their defense following the retirement of Aaron Donald. Projections indicate they may draft Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II in the first round.

Nix could still be available for the Rams in the second round. Pro Football Focus’s Trevor Sikkema predicts the Rams will select the 2023 Heisman finalist with the 52nd overall pick. Despite being 24 years old, Nix is known for his pre-snap understanding of defenses and ability to avoid sacks.

Los Angeles could provide an ideal landing spot for Nix. The Rams boast a talented receiving corps featuring Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, and head coach Sean McVay has a reputation for developing quarterbacks. Under McVay’s guidance, Stafford has won a Super Bowl and achieved an impressive passer rating of 95.8.
