Bollinger Motors, a leading manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles (EVs), has achieved a significant milestone with its all-electric Bollinger B4 Class 4 trucks – certification from the California Air Resources Board (CARB). This certification is essential for selling vehicles in CARB-compliant states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. It signifies Bollinger Motors’ commitment to meeting stringent environmental regulations and ensures its trucks are compliant with standards set by the Clean Air Act.
The CARB certification paves the way for Bollinger B4 buyers to qualify for additional state incentives, including California’s HVIP program (High-Value Incentive Project). This program, coupled with the B4’s $40,000 federal tax rebate, could provide up to $60,000 in rebates, potentially totaling $100,000 in combined savings.
Production of the B4 is scheduled to begin on September 16th, 2024, with customer deliveries starting in October. Bollinger Motors President and Chief Operating Officer, Bryan Chambers, expressed enthusiasm about the CARB certification, stating, “This represents an important milestone in our mission to bring a world-class electric vehicle to market. Environmental requirements are critical to meeting customer expectations and providing sale-ready vehicles. With this achievement, the B4 is one step closer to electrifying vehicle fleets from coast-to-coast.”
This CARB certification joins a string of recent milestones for Bollinger Motors, including receiving the Certificate of Conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency, securing full warranty coverage for the B4 chassis cab, and securing significant vehicle sales to Momentum Group, Doering Fleet Management, and EnviroCharge. Furthermore, Bollinger Motors has expanded its dealer and service center network, partnered with Our Next Energy for battery packs, and collaborated with Syncron for warranty administration and Amerit Fleet Solutions for mobile service.
