Bomb Scare in Delhi Schools: Threat Emails Cause Panic, Search Operations Underway

Several schools in the Delhi-NCR region were put on high alert on Wednesday morning after receiving bomb threat emails, triggering a wave of panic and immediate search operations. Officials from the Delhi Police, bomb detection and disposal squads, and the Delhi Fire Service rushed to the affected schools to conduct thorough checks and ensure the safety of students and staff.

The situation unfolded around 4:15 am when several schools received identical threat emails. The schools were evacuated promptly, and students were sent home. The Delhi Education Minister, Atishi, confirmed the evacuation and ongoing search operations, emphasizing that no suspicious items had been found at any of the schools. She urged parents to remain calm and reassured them that school authorities would provide updates as needed.

This incident is not an isolated one. In February this year and April last year, multiple schools in Delhi-NCR received similar threat emails, which were later deemed to be hoaxes. The latest round of bomb threats has raised concerns about the potential for copycat incidents and the need for increased vigilance.

The bomb threats have been received by several prominent schools in various parts of Delhi and Noida, including Delhi Public School in Dwarka and Vasant Kunj, Mother Mary’s School, Sanskriti School, Amity School in Saket and Sector 30, among others. The Delhi Police have launched an investigation into the origin of the threat emails and are working to identify the individuals responsible.

In the meantime, the schools that received the threats have been closed for the day as a precautionary measure, with the safety of students and staff being the top priority. The Delhi Police have assured the public that they are taking all necessary steps to ensure the security of schools and prevent any untoward incidents. They have also urged students and parents to remain calm and avoid spreading panic or misinformation. The investigation into the bomb threats is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
