While Johnson doesn’t delve into specifics, he hints at the incident in his memoir, stating that “Thither Bibi repaired for a while, and it may or may not be a coincidence but I am told that later, when they were doing a regular sweep for bugs, they found a listening device in the thunderbox.”
Despite being pressed for further details by The Telegraph, Johnson declined to elaborate, simply stating that the book contains everything necessary to understand the situation. The Israeli Embassy in London has yet to issue a statement regarding these allegations.
