Boris Johnson, Tony Blair Attend Anant Ambani’s Lavish Wedding in Mumbai

Former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair arrived in Mumbai on Friday to attend the wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant. The wedding, a lavish affair that has been attracting international attention, has seen a string of high-profile guests arrive in Mumbai over the past few days.

Earlier this week, top celebrities Kim and Khloe Kardashian, boxer Mike Tyson, and global business tycoons joined the guest list. Anant Ambani, 29, is set to marry Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharmaceutical tycoons Viren and Shaila Merchant, after a four-month-long series of pre-wedding celebrations.

According to PTI, the guest list for the wedding includes a mix of Indian and international celebrities, politicians, and corporate giants. Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita have a history of hosting extravagant weddings for their children. Isha Ambani’s 2018 wedding featured a performance by Beyoncé and was attended by prominent figures like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. Similarly, Akash Ambani’s celebrations included pre-wedding festivities in St Moritz with Chris Martin performing, followed by a Mumbai wedding with Maroon 5 performing.

However, the wedding of their youngest son, Anant, has surpassed both in terms of scale. A three-day pre-wedding event in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, the Ambani family’s hometown and site of their conglomerate’s major oil refining complex, hosted around 1,200 guests. Among the distinguished guests were luminaries such as Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft’s Bill Gates, BlackRock co-founder Larry Fink, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, and Saudi Aramco chairman Yasir Al Rumayyan. The event also featured a performance by Rihanna.

Bollywood stars are also expected to grace the celebrations. Leading actors like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt have already been spotted attending pre-wedding events. Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan are also expected to attend, as are Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Sara Ali Khan. The grand wedding is expected to be one of the most talked-about events of the year.
