Creating Fashion for Tomorrow (BCFT) returns for its second edition, marking the opening of London Fashion Week 2024. This year, BCFT takes over the Brazilian Embassy in London from September 13th to 17th with a special exhibition titled ‘A Chain of Women’.
This captivating showcase celebrates the integral role of women in the fashion industry by highlighting a selection of brands and initiatives spearheaded by talented Brazilian designers. ‘A Chain of Women’ is a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of supporting women, particularly those in low-income communities striving to improve living conditions for their families.
The exhibition dives deep into the world of sustainable materials and innovation in Brazil, showcasing the country’s rich heritage of craftsmanship, unique materials, and forward-thinking design processes. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience these elements both physically and digitally throughout the exhibition.
Curated by Camila Villas, Lilian Pacce, and Marilia Biasi, ‘A Chain of Women’ reflects on the vital role women play in driving sustainable fashion, promoting female empowerment, and fostering solidarity through collaboration.
