At the young age of 21, Carol Monteiro, a cosmopolitan spirit from São Paulo, has been chosen to open the iconic Moschino fashion show this Thursday, September 19th. This marks her debut in the Spring/Summer 2025 fashion season, following her impressive appearance on the London runway just days prior, walking for the prestigious JW Anderson. However, the world of fashion wasn’t always her dream. Before gracing international runways, Carol embarked on a different path: for three years, she worked as an English teacher, even instructing children with ADHD and visually impaired individuals. “In my adolescence, I was very introspective and didn’t care much for vanity. When I was 15, my stepmother encouraged me to visit some agencies, but my real dream was to be a diplomat,” she recalls. The young model, who began her career in 2018, is now one of the rising stars represented by the renowned WAY Model, owned by Anderson Baumgartner, the same entrepreneur who launched supermodels like Carol Trentini and Alessandra Ambrosio. In Brazil, Carol has already shone in campaigns for brands such as Another Place, Cris Barros, and NK, as well as graced the São Paulo Fashion Week runway and appeared in prominent magazines like Vogue, Elle, L’Officiel, and Marie Claire.
