The Connecticut Airport Authority has announced the addition of five new nonstop routes by Breeze Airways from Bradley International Airport (BDL). These routes connect BDL with Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The inaugural flights for both routes departed earlier today, with the Myrtle Beach flights scheduled to run three times weekly initially, increasing to five times weekly in June. The Cincinnati flights will continue on a tri-weekly schedule. Passengers on these inaugural flights received goodie bags from BDL.
Breeze Airways has been operating out of BDL for three years, and the airport serves as one of the airline’s operating bases. Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., Executive Director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, expressed appreciation for Breeze’s growth and success at BDL. He also thanked the airline for providing passengers with an expanding list of nonstop destinations at affordable fares.
Later this month, Breeze will launch nonstop services from BDL to three additional destinations: Greenville-Spartanburg, SC, New Bern, NC, and Orlando, FL. Breeze has also initiated BreezeThru services from BDL to San Diego, CA, and Santa Ana, CA.
Tom Doxey, Breeze’s President, stated that the airline is focused on building on the foundation established in key origin cities like Hartford. The partnership with Bradley International Airport has supported this growth, resulting in more flights to popular destinations. Doxey expressed excitement about adding five more nonstop destinations and two BreezeThru routes from BDL this month alone.
