Brick Kiln Owner Shot Dead During Workers’ Dispute in Bareilly

Mohammad Mazhar, a 50-year-old resident of Dhakni village in the Faridpur area, owned a brick kiln in Padarathpur village. The dispute reportedly began around 10.30 am on Monday between Rehan and Sitara and her son, all employed at the kiln. Circle Officer (CO) Faridpur Gaurav Singh stated that the situation escalated into a conflict between two groups of workers over the loading of bricks onto a wagon. Mazhar and other workers attempted to intervene, but one of the workers fired a fatal shot into his chest. The victim’s body has been sent for postmortem, and the police are actively investigating the incident.
