Lockport’s Brinlee McNabb can quickly recall the dates of her two torn ACL injuries: September 25, 2021, and May 23, 2023. These setbacks have tested her resilience, but McNabb has emerged stronger on the other side.
The first injury occurred during her sophomore season, while the second came during a regional championship game in her junior year. Despite these challenges, McNabb remained determined to return to the field.
Now, she is back anchoring the defense for the undefeated Porters. She also contributed offensively in a recent game against Andrew, scoring her third goal of the season. Her defensive partner, Klutcharch, expressed her gratitude for McNabb’s reliability and skill.
Having experienced the recovery process once before, McNabb was better prepared to navigate her second injury. Her confidence and determination have fueled her recovery.
In addition to her defensive prowess, McNabb is also a standout offensive player, scoring goals off corner kicks. She is a versatile and dynamic player who contributes to Lockport’s success in multiple ways.
Coach Elkei praised McNabb’s leadership and character, noting that she has a bright future ahead of her. With her resilience and talent, McNabb is an inspiration to her team and a role model for young athletes.
