A British man, 22 years old, has sadly died after falling from the fifth floor of his hotel balcony in Antalya, Turkey, while on holiday with his girlfriend, 33.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the man to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The man’s girlfriend was detained at a police station but was later released.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the man’s family, raising over £4,000 thus far.
The Foreign Office has stated that it is assisting the family during this challenging time.
This tragic event comes shortly after the death of another British tourist in Turkey. A 73-year-old man suffered a cardiac arrest while swimming in the Red Sea during a sightseeing boat trip in Marmaris. Paramedics pronounced him dead after coastguards, police, and divers retrieved him from the water.
