A terrifying coyote attack on the San Fernando Valley home of rocker Tommy Lee and his wife, actress and comedian Brittany Furlan, was caught on camera. The video, posted by Furlan, shows their two dogs enjoying the backyard pool when a coyote suddenly appears and snatches Neena, their 10-year-old long-haired English cream dachshund, in its jaws.
The coyote attempted to flee with Neena, leaping over a 10-foot back wall, but Brittany, displaying incredible courage, gave chase. She managed to climb the wall and grab Neena back from the coyote’s grasp. “Neena is safe,” Furlan shared on social media. “I climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she’s a little bit fat because he couldn’t make it over the wall with her.”
Tommy Lee, who was inside the house at the time, rushed outside upon hearing Brittany’s screams. However, she had already rescued Neena by then, and the coyote had fled.
Brittany explained that she and Tommy had never encountered a coyote in their backyard before. This particular coyote, she noted, managed to jump over a 10-foot wall. She shared the disturbing video on her Instagram account, which has over 2 million followers, to raise awareness about the potential dangers to pets and encourage others to be vigilant. The video went viral, serving as a stark reminder of the importance of pet safety, particularly in areas where coyotes are prevalent.
