Brussels Airlines COO Tilman Reinshagen Extends Contract for Five Years

Brussels Airlines has announced the extension of Tilman Reinshagen’s role as Chief Operating Officer for an additional five years, securing his position until 2030. The decision was made by the SN Airholding Board, recognizing Reinshagen’s vital contributions to the airline’s success.

Reinshagen, who joined the airline’s Management Board in 2022, has been instrumental in guiding Brussels Airlines through the challenging post-pandemic recovery period in the aviation sector. His leadership has been crucial in stabilizing the airline’s operations, ensuring its continued success and growth. Since taking on the COO position in July 2022, Reinshagen has worked closely with CEO Dorothea von Boxberg and CFO Nina Öwerdieck, together steering the Brussels-based airline, a part of Lufthansa Group’s four-network carriers.

Dieter Vranckx, member of the Lufthansa Group Executive Board and Chairman of the SN Airholding Board, highlighted Reinshagen’s significant achievements, stating, “Under Tilman’s leadership in the post-Covid ramp-up period, there has been noticeable growth in traffic volumes, the aircraft fleet, and the operational team. He has contributed to stabilize the punctuality and connectivity, and together with our partners, has helped maintain Brussels as a reliable hub in Europe. By emphasizing collaboration and incorporating bottom-up feedback, Tilman has played a key role in strengthening Brussels Airlines’ operational structure and capabilities. I am confident that, together with his teams, he will continue to enable further operational growth.”

Reinshagen expressed his gratitude for the renewed trust, stating, “We were able to reach several goals as one motivated team and I look forward to keep building on and working with my colleagues. I am grateful for the trust SN Airholding and Brussels Airlines have in me. We will pursue establishing Brussels Airport as the most reliable Hub in Europe with an outstanding passenger experience. And all of this thanks to the continuous improvement of our impressive teams!”

Reinshagen’s extended leadership signals a commitment to continued stability and growth for Brussels Airlines. His focus on collaboration and operational excellence will continue to shape the future of the airline as it navigates the ever-evolving aviation landscape.
