BSF Bus Plunges into Gorge in Jammu and Kashmir, Multiple Casualties

A tragic accident involving a Border Security Force (BSF) bus carrying personnel on election duty occurred in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, September 20. The bus, carrying BSF personnel, plunged into a deep gorge.

According to officials, the accident resulted in multiple casualties. The injured personnel were rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

Senior officials, including the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Kashmir Zone, V K Birdi, the IG of the BSF’s Kashmir Frontier, Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, SSP Srinagar, SSP Budgam, DC Budgam, and other senior officers, rushed to the hospital to assess the situation and provide support to the injured jawans and their families.

The exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation. This incident highlights the inherent dangers faced by security personnel in the line of duty, especially during sensitive periods like elections.
