Burger King has answered the call of its loyal fans by bringing back the beloved halloumi fries to its menu. This cheesy side dish, made with authentic Cypriot halloumi, was an instant hit when it was first introduced in 2021. Customers, including Claire Walker and Ffion Jones, couldn’t resist expressing their love for these fries on social media.
The halloumi fries are made with five or eight pieces of 100% Cypriot halloumi, perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection. They are accompanied by a sweet chili dipping sauce that adds a touch of sweet heat.
Even Greek Cypriot YiaYias have given their seal of approval to these fries after being invited to a taste test. Bambi Steel and Helen Zannicos of the East London’s Hellenic Cypriot Society praised the fries for their perfect balance of cheesy and salty flavors, as well as the high-quality ingredients sourced from Cyprus.
The halloumi fries are now available at all Burger King UK restaurants for £3.99 for five pieces and £5.29 for eight pieces. For the first time ever, these fries can also be ordered for delivery via Uber Eats.
This menu update is part of Burger King’s ongoing expansion across the UK, with several new restaurants opening, including one in Canary Wharf’s Cabot Square. The chain also has plans to open new locations in Staines, Peterhead, Blackburn, Lynn, and London Colney.
Burger King is not the only fast food chain shaking things up this week. McDonald’s has also brought back some popular items, including the Chicken Big Mac and the Biscoff McFlurry. The Chicken Big Mac features two 100% chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, cheese, lettuce, pickles, and Big Mac sauce, all inside the iconic triple-layered bun.
The Biscoff McFlurry, a fan favorite, is back on the menu, along with a new Biscoff Frappe. This refreshing drink has a vanilla flavor base, blended with ice and Biscoff crumb, topped with caramel-flavored cream and a dusting of Biscoff crumb.
