A 19-year-old driver was issued summonses for careless driving and disregard of a traffic control device after going through a red light and colliding with a school bus in Montgomery on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
The bus was carrying six Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School students and was struck by the car at the corner of County Route 601 and Skillman Road around 3 p.m., officials said. The bus then struck a traffic light at the southwest corner of the intersection.
All six students and both drivers were treated at the scene and declined to be brought to hospitals, police said. The school is in Bridgewater.
