A tragic accident occurred in Nepal on [Date] when a passenger bus carrying 40 people plunged into the Marsyangdi River in the Tanahun district. The bus, bearing license plate UP FT 7623, was traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu when the incident took place.
According to the District Police Office Tanahun, the bus veered off the road and landed on the riverbank. Initial reports indicate that at least 10 people have lost their lives in the accident.
Rescue efforts are underway, with a team of 45 Armed Police Force personnel led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Madhav Paudel from the Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Training School deployed to the site.
The Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner is also working to establish contact with the victims’ families to determine if any passengers from Uttar Pradesh were on board the bus.
