Calgary Property Tax Bills Arrive with June 28 Deadline

The City of Calgary has begun mailing out property tax bills for approximately 570,000 residential and non-residential properties, with residents expected to receive their bills by the end of next week. Homeowners are urged to make their payments by June 28 to avoid a seven percent penalty that will be applied on July 1.

Those who do not receive their bill by the expected date are advised to contact 311. The tax deadline does not apply to individuals who pay their taxes monthly through the city’s Tax Instalment Payment Plan.

The funds collected through the property tax are split between the Alberta government and the City of Calgary, providing essential funding for various municipal services and programs.
