Candace Cameron Bure Champions Faith-Based Films, Believes in Their Massive Appeal

Former ‘Full House’ star Candace Cameron Bure is a strong advocate for faith-based films, believing that they have a massive audience. In a recent interview, she expressed her hopes that her new film, ‘Unsung Hero,’ will prove her point.

Bure emphasized that there is a significant demand for faith-based movies in the ‘flyover states,’ areas outside the coastal regions that often feel overlooked. She also acknowledged the popularity of these films on both television and in theaters.

According to Bure, faith-based films resonate with viewers by offering messages of family unity and love. She said, ‘There’s a lot of people in the country that we call ‘the flyover states,’ [so] not on the coast, and they feel like their… And yet, these are the movies that they wanna see.’

Bure is confident that ‘Unsung Hero’ will be a success, both for her and for the genre as a whole. She believes that faith-based films are gaining traction and becoming more widely recognized.

‘Unsung Hero’ is based on the true story of David and Helen Smallbone, who emigrated from Australia to the U.S. with their seven children after David’s music company crumbled. Their children’s musical gifts ultimately saved the family when they had nothing more than their suitcases and their faith.
