Anthony Mackie faces a complex and challenging mission in the first teaser trailer for ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ In a world where Captain America is now an official military position, Sam Wilson must navigate a treacherous political landscape and confront his past.
The teaser opens with President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford, extending an olive branch to Sam. Despite their previous conflict, Ross seeks to make Captain America a legitimate military figure, putting Sam in a difficult position. However, a surprise attack at the White House throws everything into chaos. An assassination attempt on President Ross is thwarted by Sam, but the suspect is none other than his friend Isaiah Bradley, played by Carl Lumbly. This shocking revelation sets the stage for an international conflict over global supremacy.
The teaser hints at a larger conspiracy, with Sam’s investigation leading him to confront new enemies, including the Red Hulk, the alter ego of President Ross. This will be Sam’s first solo outing as Captain America in a Marvel Studios feature film, following his brief time as the hero in the Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’
The film features a stellar cast, including Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph, and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. Giancarlo Esposito and Xosha Roquemore have also been cast in undisclosed roles. ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is directed by Julius Onah, known for his work on ‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ and ‘Luce.’ The screenplay was written by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton.
The film, produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, promising an action-packed and emotionally charged adventure for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
