Cara Delevingne, the multi-faceted star known for her modeling, acting, and philanthropy, is embracing a new chapter in her life – a chapter filled with self-discovery and a playful spirit. On a sunny afternoon, she shared her philosophy on beauty, revealing a deep-rooted love for experimentation and self-expression. “I love taking beauty risks,” she confessed. “I feel like, in some ways, I’ve never grown up. I still love playing dress-up and exploring, whether that’s a character or gender, trying something on for a day can be fun.” This adventurous spirit has now become a part of her professional life as she joins L’Oréal Paris’s Women of Worth collective and becomes the face of their Superior Preference hair color line.
Delevingne’s love for hair transformations is evident. She recently indulged in a spontaneous blonde makeover at Larry King’s salon in London, a move she describes as a typical impulse. “I try to not spend too much time thinking about a decision when it comes to my hair,” she explained. “I’ve had my natural hair color for the last two or three years, haven’t dyed it. But I woke up last week and just decided ‘I’m going blonde.’ I texted Larry King about it, and here we are.” While she enjoys experimenting with hair color, she has one strict rule: never touch her brows. “I have bleached them before,” she says. “I didn’t love them when I did. I just don’t want to mess them up!”
As Delevingne enters her thirties, she embraces a slower, more authentic pace of life. “In my thirties, I’ve learned how to really slow down and sit in myself,” she shared. “Working with L’Oréal right now just makes sense, because it’s a brand that tries to celebrate someone’s individuality and really empower people for who they are. At this age, I can really embody the slogan genuinely.” This newfound appreciation for simplicity extends beyond her career. Her days are now filled with gardening, bird watching, tea, and rediscovering the joys of video games – a reminder of her younger self. “In some ways, I’ve grown up,” she muses. “But in some ways, I’m still the same crusty teenager.”
Delevingne embodies the essence of L’Oréal Paris’s message – “Because you’re worth it.” She shows us that embracing our true selves, embracing our individuality, and allowing ourselves to play and experiment is what makes us truly beautiful.
