The eagerly anticipated Caribbean Week 2024, organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), is set to take place in New York City from June 16-21, 2024. This prominent event, a staple for both travel professionals and enthusiasts, will be hosted at the InterContinental New York Times Square, located in the vibrant center of midtown Manhattan.
Marking the CTO’s 35th anniversary, Caribbean Week 2024 will celebrate under the theme “Connecting the Globe, Celebrating Diversity”. The event will feature a dynamic array of events and business meetings including sessions with the CTO Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Ministerial Council. These discussions will address pivotal issues affecting the growth and evolution of Caribbean tourism, fostering substantial and strategic conversations.
The week will kick off with a church service followed by a Business and Tourism Marketing Symposium. The Caribbean Media Awards will once again honor journalists and influencers who have effectively promoted Caribbean tourism, complemented by the popular Media Marketplace. In a nod to technological advancement, a special session on artificial intelligence will highlight the organization’s progressive stance. The event will also spotlight the vital contributions of the CTO Foundation and introduce the newly established Jean Holder Scholarship.
Topics such as service excellence, enhancing connections between New York City and the region, airlift strategies, multicultural marketing, travel trade relations, public relations, crisis communications, and smart destination management will be discussed. The week will also include a leadership breakfast and awards ceremony dedicated to women’s empowerment, as well as a Cricket Ceremony and Watch Party.
