Cathay Pacific Redefines Premium Economy Experience on Boeing 777-300ER
Cathay Pacific, renowned for its award-winning service, is set to transform the premium economy class experience with its new fleet of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The airline has adopted a human-centric approach to redesigning the cabins, prioritizing passenger comfort during long-haul journeys.
The enhanced premium economy seats maintain their dimensions but feature improved ergonomics, including enhanced padding and a leg rest for relaxation. The wing-shaped headrest provides additional privacy, while the LED reading light has been repositioned to the seat for better accessibility. Automated table buttons streamline the user experience.
In-flight entertainment has been upgraded with 15.6-inch 4K TV screens, a new graphical user interface, and Bluetooth pairing for personal headphones. Cathay Pacific has also elevated its premium economy dining options through partnerships with renowned Hong Kong restaurant groups. Passengers can savor Italian dishes from Pirata, traditional Hong Kong cuisine from Duddell’s, and vegetarian choices from Veda and Plant Sifu. Jain and plant-based meals are also available, ensuring a commitment to high-quality and flavorful dining.
To complement the enhanced meals, Cathay Pacific has revised its wine selection, collaborating with top winemakers from China. Additionally, the 777-300ER fleet will feature two dedicated washrooms for premium economy passengers. As a testament to the enhancements, Cathay Pacific plans to add 16 premium economy seats to each Boeing 777-300ER and may consider retrofits for its A350 models in the future.
