CCTV Footage Exposes Militants Armed with M4 Carbines in Kashmir Terror Attack

A chilling revelation has come to light in the aftermath of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). CCTV footage captured at the scene of the crime has surfaced, showcasing the militants involved armed with sophisticated weaponry, including American-made M4 carbines and AK-47s.

The footage, obtained by the Indian Express, reveals two individuals dressed in black or grey shawls, their faces partially concealed. They are seen entering the gates of what appears to be the mess area of a worker’s camp belonging to an infrastructure company, located along the Srinagar-Leh National highway. The militants then proceeded to open fire, indiscriminately targeting a group of laborers, both locals and non-locals, resulting in the tragic loss of seven lives.

The victims of the attack, which occurred on Sunday, October 20, include Dr. Shahnawaz Dar, a doctor, and six laborers: Faheem Nasir, Kaleem, Mohammad Hanif, Shashi Abrol, Anil Shukla, and Gurmeet Singh. The terrorists launched their attack at the tunnel construction site in Gund, Ganderbal, after the workers returned to their camp late in the evening. Two laborers succumbed to their injuries on the spot, while four others and the doctor succumbed to their injuries later. The attack left five others injured, who are currently receiving medical treatment.

According to reports, the terrorists meticulously planned and executed the attack, studying the layout of the workers’ camp beforehand. After targeting the mess area, they proceeded to the officers’ camp. The Resistance Front, a shadow organization linked to the banned Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT), claimed responsibility for the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched an investigation at the site, gathering crucial evidence to identify the attackers.

In response to the attack, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, holding Pakistan accountable for instigating violence in the region. A massive manhunt is underway to track down the militants involved. This incident has shaken the region and raised concerns about the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The use of advanced weaponry by the militants underscores the growing sophistication of terrorist organizations operating in the area. As investigations continue, the focus remains on bringing those responsible to justice and ensuring the safety of the local population.
