Recognizing the exceptional contributions of community leaders, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Orange County have honored exemplary board members with the prestigious Eddy Awards. These individuals have demonstrated unwavering commitment to serving their communities and enriching the lives of young people. Katie Shreve stands out among the award recipients for her remarkable contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley. In collaboration with her late husband, William Shreve, she has made generous philanthropic donations exceeding $100,000. Shreve has played a pivotal role in the success of the club’s fundraising events, procuring numerous gifts and donating her award-winning cookies, which have sparked enthusiastic bidding wars at auctions. Her dedication extends beyond financial support, as she consistently offers her time, insights, and suggestions for process improvement. Moreover, she has volunteered as a Youth of the Year judge, further demonstrating her commitment to the organization. Shreve’s contributions have left an indelible mark on the club, and her fellow board members express their gratitude by requesting her cookies at every meeting.
