Departing today from Southampton, Celebrity Cruises’ celebrated vessel, Celebrity Apex, is making waves as the inaugural ship of the groundbreaking Edge® Series to be based in the United Kingdom.
Launching her European season from Southampton, Celebrity Apex will embark on an eight-night cruise through the stunning Norwegian Fjords. This tranquil journey will explore beloved destinations including Bruges, Belgium, dubbed ‘the Venice of the North’, where travelers can wander through picturesque canals and charming cobblestone streets; Geiranger, Norway, home to the breathtaking Geirangerfjord with its cascading waterfalls and majestic snow-capped mountains; and Kristiansand, Norway, known as the ‘Summer City’ for its sandy beaches, world-class shopping, and vibrant cultural scene.
As the second ship in the revolutionary Edge Series, Celebrity Apex redefines the cruising experience with its innovative outward-facing design and distinctive onboard spaces. Setting a new standard for luxury, Celebrity Apex offers elevated dining experiences, state-of-the-art spa and wellness facilities, and high-energy entertainment that rivals top performances on land.

Covering stunning destinations from Northern Europe to the Canary Islands, the premium cruise line’s cutting-edge ship will sail from Southampton from May to October 2024. During the summer season, travelers can choose from a variety of exciting four-to-13-night voyages, including the 12-night Norwegian Fjords and Arctic Circle cruise, offering guests a chance to immerse themselves in the region’s awe-inspiring natural beauty. Additionally, guests can enjoy expanded destination options from Southampton, with sailings that include the picturesque island of Ibiza, where they can indulge in delicious cuisine at local hotspots, party at vibrant beach clubs, and soak up the Mediterranean sun.
Celebrity Apex stands out with its distinctive features, showcasing the contemporary design elements that define Celebrity’s Edge Series ships. Highlights include the cantilevered multi-purpose venue ‘The Magic Carpet®’, offering breathtaking views and dining experiences over the sea; The Retreat®, featuring a private restaurant, Luminae, a lounge area, and a sundeck exclusive to its guests; expanded Infinite Veranda staterooms; tranquil escapes at the Rooftop Garden; and luxurious two-story Edge Villas, each with its own private terrace and plunge pool.
With 29 distinct restaurants, bars, and lounges onboard, Celebrity Apex offers a diverse culinary journey, featuring globally inspired menus. From Fine Cut Steakhouse to Raw on 5 and Eden, guests can savor a range of culinary delights in an elevated dining experience.
Entertainment options abound on Celebrity Apex, including three exclusive stage shows in The Theatre.
