Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour Canceled Due to Rare Health Condition
Legendary Canadian singer Celine Dion has been forced to cancel her Courage World Tour due to a rare neurological condition called Stiff-Person Syndrome. The condition causes muscle stiffness and spasms, making it difficult for her to walk and sing.
Dion was diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome in 2022 and has been working with a sports medicine therapist to manage her symptoms. However, she has not yet recovered enough to resume performing.
The upcoming documentary “I Am: Celine Dion” will explore Dion’s journey with the condition and aims to raise awareness about Stiff-Person Syndrome. In a statement about the documentary, Dion said that living with SPS has been a challenge, but it does not define her.
Dion is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, with five Grammy Awards and numerous other accolades to her name. Her most popular songs include “My Heart Will Go On” from the film “Titanic” and “Because You Loved Me”.
Stiff-Person Syndrome is a rare condition that affects the central nervous system. It causes muscle stiffness and spasms that can worsen over time. There is no cure for SPS, but treatment can help manage the symptoms and prevent the condition from getting worse.
