Jayson Tatum led the way with 29 points, while Jaylen Brown added 24. The Celtics never trailed in the game and led by as many as 29 points.
The Bruins, who are looking to make a deep run in the playoffs after a disappointing end to the regular season, got off to a strong start with a 5-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 1 of their opening-round series on Saturday night. Jake DeBrusk led the way with two goals and an assist, while Jeremy Swayman made 35 saves in net.
The wins by the Celtics and Bruins have raised expectations for a memorable spring in Boston.
