Central Arkansas Pride Celebrates 12th Annual PRIDE Festival and Parade

Mark your calendars for a day filled with joy, unity, and empowerment! Central Arkansas Pride is hosting its 12th Annual PRIDE Festival and Parade on Saturday, October 19th, during LGBTQIA+ History Month. This year’s celebration will focus on the theme “PRIDE 365”, emphasizing the commitment to pride throughout the year.

The parade, a vibrant tapestry of community representation, will feature faith-based organizations, non-profits, and businesses coming together to celebrate diversity. Last year’s parade saw a remarkable turnout with 36% faith-based organizations, 32% non-profits, and 30% businesses participating.

Central Arkansas Pride, a non-profit and volunteer organization dedicated to building an inclusive community for LGBTQIA+ Arkansans, thrives on the support of sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to join as sponsors for PRIDEFest 2024, helping amplify the message of inclusion and combat prejudice.

This event is not just a celebration but a movement. Last year, over 15,000 attendees from all walks of life came together to celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and advocate for equality.

Dolores Wilk, Executive Director of Central Arkansas Pride, eloquently states, “PRIDEFest is more than a festival; it’s a sanctuary of belonging, a vibrant tapestry of our Arkansas LGBTQIA+ family, and a powerful anthem of love and inclusion.”

Joseph Johnson, Communications Director, adds, “When we unite, we’re not just celebrating; we’re making history. We’re educating, advocating, and building a future where everyone feels welcome, safe, and supported. Together, we’re the architects of change.”

Join Central Arkansas Pride on October 19th for a day of celebration, education, and community building. Let’s make PRIDE 365 a vibrant reality!
