Central Regional Continues Winning Ways with 11-3 Victory over Donovan Catholic

The Central Regional Golden Eagles continued their winning ways with an 11-3 victory over the Donovan Catholic Griffins on Tuesday in Bayville. The victory extends Central Regional’s winning streak to four games, while Donovan Catholic drops to 6-3 on the season.

Talianna Nardini and Elisabeth Ytreboe each scored two goals to lead the Golden Eagles’ attack. Emma Bianco also contributed a goal and an assist, while Morgan Schinder made 11 saves in net. Gianna Rao scored two goals for the Griffins, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Central Regional’s offensive onslaught.

The Golden Eagles scored all 11 of their goals in the first three quarters of play, taking a commanding lead that the Griffins were unable to overcome. Central Regional’s defense was also strong, limiting Donovan Catholic to just three goals on the day.

With the victory, Central Regional improves to 5-4 on the season. The Golden Eagles will look to continue their winning streak when they host Toms River North on Thursday.

Donovan Catholic will look to rebound when they host St. John Vianney on Thursday.
